Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DC KOREN LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 15404940) ("we") handles personal data in the Gardn app, a management tool for self-employed service providers. It covers both your own account information and the client details you enter into the app.

  1. Data you provide: your account details (name, business name, business type, phone, email), your business logo if you choose to add one from your photo library, and the business records you enter — clients (name, phone, address, email, notes, tax ID), jobs, quotes, payments, business expenses, and the financial figures derived from them.
  2. Your clients' data: when you add a client you enter their personal details. For that data you are the data controller and we act as a processor on your behalf — you are responsible for having a lawful basis to store it and for telling your clients how it is used.
  3. Importing from contacts: the contacts permission is asked only when you tap the button on the new-client form, never at launch. The choosing happens in the operating system’s own picker — the app does not scan your address book and is never handed a list. From the contact you pick it reads first name, family name, company, phone numbers, email addresses and postal addresses, and copies them once into the client record; nothing stays linked. The address book itself is neither read nor sent anywhere.
  4. How we use it: solely to provide the app’s features — organising your clients, calendar, income and expense tracking, job reminders and backups. We do not sell your data or your clients’ data, and we do not use it for advertising.
  5. Where it is stored: by default everything stays on your device. If you turn on cloud backup, an encrypted copy is kept with Supabase, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt), so you can restore it or move between devices.
  6. What the app contacts: at launch it asks Expo’s servers whether a new version exists. The request carries the platform, the runtime version, the update channel and a random identifier created on first launch and kept on the device — and, if the previous launch ended in a crash, the error text from it. No account details and no business data travel with it. Separately, when you send a quote or a reminder to a client, open an address for navigation, or share a file, the text or the file is handed to the app you choose (WhatsApp, your maps app, or any other), and that app’s own privacy policy applies from then on. If no maps app handles the link, the address opens in Google Maps in a browser.
  7. Analytics: usage analytics are off by default and only collected if you opt in from Settings. Nothing is sent while the toggle is off.
  8. Payments: the app never charges your clients or processes their payment details — payment records are for your own internal tracking only.
  9. Retention: your data is kept until you delete it. Deleting your account from settings removes the data on this device, the cloud backup and the sign-in account itself.
  10. Your rights: depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. You can export a full copy or delete everything from Settings, or contact us for help.
  11. International transfers: if cloud backup is enabled, your data may be stored on servers outside your country, protected by appropriate safeguards.
  12. Changes: we may update this policy; material changes will be surfaced in the app.
